The rain drops pelted heavily against my window as i sat by my window ledge on a cushion reading. The cd player was playing "remembering" by dirk damonte, a piano sonata, softly in the background....
The sound of the rain and the smell of the cool damp air was oddly comforting as well as distracting...i set my book down for awhile and rubbed on the already misty window for a clear view outside. The sky was grey and the rain was falling from it down like tears.
My mind began to wonder...to ponder on so many things that i've chose to forget but now all those had resurfaced again...
I remember...it was such a day like this that i first saw her. i was standing at the bus stop waiting for the rain to stop when i saw her running for cover. Her sky blue umbrella was clutched tightly in her hands as she ran. Her slight figure was already drenched from the merciless on-slaughter of rain water aiming right at her...
She finally reached the bus stop i was standing under and only then did she laid down her umbrella to reveal her face. It was this face that totally took my breath away...the very face that i would never ever forget in my life...
Her hair was tousled all over by the wind and rain and her face was wet. However, all this did not hide the fact that she was beautiful...Her eyes was almond shaped, her nose, small and poised above her luscious lips. Her chin was slight but prominent, in wonderful combination to her heart shaped face. Yes, her face was wet and her hair was sticking on her cheeks and forehead, but this only made her ever so much more appealing...
My heart beat so fast right at moment, I could swear it would have been purged right out of my mouth if I hadn't swallowed. As I watched her trying valiantly to wipe herself dry, the sky coruscated suddenly followed by a deafening crash of the thunder. She jolted instantaneously and gave a light yell, her face, totally in shock...
Just then, i wished so much to hold her, to tell her that it was alright, and that i am there to protect her...
Just then, i felt a tap on my shoulder. I turned around and there was my best friend, Kenneth, same class as me in 5E.
"Hey, what you looking at?" He asked. He peered towards the direction i was previously staring and saw the girl who was still trying to squeeze dry her clothes.
I butted him back. " Don't look so obviously at her!" I whispered impatiently. Kenneth gave me the "I know what you are thinking" face and smirked.
"Oh... so you fancy that girl eh?" I gave him an indignant look. " Haha, i know that gal, want me to introduce her to you?"
"What, you know her?" I asked in amazement. The Kenneth i knew never really did socialize with any girl since the day i knew him. Whats more, he didn't really had any friends that were girls for all that matters.
Just then, the bus arrived. I watched the girl rushed onto the bus with the other students, trying to get as little rain as possible.
"Aren't you going to board the bus as well?" Kenneth asked inquisitively. I didn't answer him. I looked through the bus window and trailed my eyes towards where the girl had found a seat and sat down. At that moment, she looked through the window and saw me staring at her. She immediately looked away, as if she was shy or something and i did too. I too, was embarressed that she had seen me looking at her this way.
The bus closed its doors with a hiss and drove away... |
